Please remember to complete the online Health Screening before coming on campus for classes or scheduled meetings. This form needs to be completed on the day of your attendance by 9:00am. Any questions, please contact your Teacher of Record.
Dear Venture Academy Families, We hope this letter finds you and your family safe and healthy. We are grateful for your continued support of your students and dedication to the education provided through Venture Academy Family of Schools.
Under the direction and guidance of San Joaquin County Public Health and San Joaquin County Office of Education, Venture Academy is planning and cautiously moving forward with in-person instructional opportunities for our students. We have made this decision based on the decreased number of COVID-19 cases in our area, as well as our county’s movement into the Red Tier.
We will be developing learning models that will allow us to continue to offer quality virtual instruction with on site support and access to educational resources. This will allow us to maximize social distancing and continue to provide health and safety in our buildings for our students and staff.
The target date for offering in-person learning is Monday, November 2nd, 2020. We will be providing more details on in-person learning, meal services, and check in procedures in future Jupiter messages. You will have the option to continue with full distance learning. Please look for communication from your child’s academy next week for directions on how to make this choice.
As students come back onto campus, the following safety protocols will be implemented to protect the health and safety of our students, staff, and families:
•All students and staff will complete a COVID-19 Daily Symptom Checker before coming onto campus. If students answer yes to any of the screening questions, they should stay home from school and consult a health care professional. Temperatures will be taken upon arrival.
•Students in grades 3-12 and staff members will be required to wear masks or face coverings. Students second grade or lower will be strongly encouraged to wear face coverings unless there is an underlying medical condition.
•Desks and/or seating of students and staff will be spaced to allow maximum space available between students and staff. Space between student desks or seating will be maximized. Teacher and other staff desks will be at least six feet away from student desks.
•Staff and students will be expected to wash their hands frequently. Sanitizing breaks will be implemented and students will receive friendly and regular reminders to wash their hands. All classrooms, offices, and other public areas have access to soap and water and/or hand sanitizer (fragrance free with 60% ethyl alcohol).
•Staff will develop instructions for maximizing spacing and ways to minimize movement in both indoor and outdoor spaces that are easy for students to understand and are developmentally appropriate. The health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our top priority. We are following sound protocols aligned with expert health guidance.
We look forward to seeing our students again soon. As always, thank you for your patience, understanding, and flexibility.
Sincerely, Venture Academy Administrative Team
